SES Pre-Amplified Microphone

The Pre-amplified Area Microphone combines an omnidirectional microphone element and pre-amplification electronics in a compact alloy casing. The microphone is designed for rugged applications where a voltage input is required for input to an analysis or recording system, and is ideal where the distance between microphone and recorder is significant. Low-level signals are enhanced and high-level signals are limited using compression technology, while unwanted low-level noise and hum are suppressed.

The Pre-amplified Area Microphone is able to operate with a wide range of supply voltage, 10-32Vdc. Application include use as a Cockpit Area Microphone (CAM) in aircraft, and voice recording in demanding environments.

Cables for use with the SES Pre-Amplified Microphone, terminated at one end with the microphone connector, can be supplied. Standard lengths available from stock range from 3.5 to 14 metres.
